Fleet Driver Training
Our fleet driver training program is an advanced driving session which takes a fresh
approach to on road driving methods. Its content will help to improve your drivers awareness and observation skills in all traffic situations and weather conditions
Location
The location for the training can be at the customers premises or at a mutually agreed location. The Preferred ratio is 2 drivers per trainer for a full day session. This gives the opportunity for each driver to develop their own skills with the trainer. << back
Requirements
The client must provide a suitable, roadworthy and fully insured vehicle.Drivers must hold a valid current licence for the vehicle they are driving. << back
The Fleet Driver Training Course
This fleet driver training course is designed to give drivers a greater understanding of their responsibility when on the road and how this may affect their company or organisation. The demonstrations and instruction on the course will enhance driving techniques, improve behaviour and develop a more responsible attitude to driving and other road users.
The participants will also be encouraged to adapt a smoother driving style which reduces driver stress and overall wear and tear on their vehicle. The fleet driver trainer will complete an assessment of the driver's initial and final drive and also discuss the key points that have been addressed during the driving session. A written report will be issued on each driver along with any suggestions for future training. << back
Objectives
To reduce or eliminate the risk of drivers being involved in an accident, and also to ensure drivers adopt a safer attitude to driving whilst being aware of issues such as wear and tear, fuel economy and environmental considerations. << back
The Trainer
A Fully qualified ADI driving instructor with many years of advanced driver training experience. Driving Standards Agency approved FLEET trainer << back
At the end of the session drivers will:
- Understand the importance of hazard recognition in accident avoidance
- Understand the major causes of road accidents, and the concept of avoidability in road accidents
- Be aware of how driver attitude and behaviour can effect driving performance and the effect on the environment
- Have experienced the benefits of adapting a smoother driving style
